hair dye question. [Mar. 21st, 2010|10:12 pm]
Peripheral
So, I have this hair dye and the instructions say to use a tint brush and bowl for application. Previous to now, I have only ever used boxed hair dye (such as L'Oreal, etc) where you just mix it in the bottle and squeeze it onto your head. Do you think I can do the same with this stuff? Can I get a tint brush from the drugstore? Maybe I will just get a hair bleaching kit and use that? I don't want to waste the dye or screw it up.
*laughs at self* I'm just nervous and want to know what works. I know Kim & I just used plastic gloves, but that dye seemed to wash out really fast.
I feel like a newb. :P

Unless you're doing highlights, just your hands should be fine for this too, just make sure you don't miss any spots. I've never used a brush to apply an all-over hair dye, whether it says to or not. It's always turned out fine.
