Elaine picked up LingHui and I after work and we went over to the Anderson's for dinner and to decorate the Christmas tree. LingHui was so cute! When we got to the house, she ran in saying, "Daddie, I'm home!" Awwww.
Ed made stirfry and rice. It was yummy and we had red wine with it. Ed and Elaine were pushing presents on me, but I said we should decorate the tree first.
When we were pulling out all of the decorations, Ed opened up a box with two angel ornaments inside and said, "One for each of my adopted angels". How sweet was that?! I had to give him a hug for that one!
Also, Elaine kept saying, "I hope the kids aren't upset that we didn't put everything up". I told her if they say anything, she can tell them it was time for the adopted kids to have a turn decorating the tree. :)
Before gifts, LingHui preformed a tea ceremony for Ed and Elaine. It was really special to watch.
LingHui was so excited to open her gift, so I let her go first. I gave her a photo clip, a handcrafted address book made in Canada, a Christmas tree ornament (Mary and Joseph riding to Bethlehem), and a Canadian flag keychain. Elaine opened her spatula, and Ed opened his card/cd. So then it was my turn. The first gift I opened was a set of flannel bedsheets! Yay! The second gift contained a box of penguin notecards and a plushie penguin. *squee* There is another joint gift that I am supposed to open up with my sister tomorrow and Leah is going to give Elaine her gift. I left presents under the tree for Liz and Ian. I can't wait for Christmas! I love giving people gifts!
