Why are there so many fires during a rain storm??

I live right beside a fire station, so I hear the trucks go out about 5 times a day on average, but yesterday was more like 20!

ah yes. bc has some ridiculous amount of fires going something like 800 right now. Kind of a revisit from the fires a few years ago except either than the air being polluted with smoke its not all that bad around where I lived right now.

Hearing a lot of sirens? We had the firetrucks at my building today because the alarm went off. The humidity was so high it was creating false heat signals and setting off the major alarms (not smoke detectors). Apparently they had 9 other calls exactly the same as this at various buildings around the city today.
