Today was good. [Oct. 12th, 2008|11:19 pm]
[Current Mood |okayokay]

I thought that today was Thanksgiving, but apparently it is officially tomorrow.
I was real sleepy all day, but went out with Elaine and Liz and took a bunch of pictures. Elaine took us for burgers and then we watched Hairspray (original version with Ricki Lake) and Corteo (Cirque de Soleil). I really enjoyed Corteo and can see why my sister enjoyed it so much. (She actually got to see the show, lucky!) The original version of Hairspray is a favourite of mine. I had to have Elaine watch it after she brough home the John Travolta/Nicki Blonsky version. Original equals way much better.
Tomorrow equals last day of my "vacation". Will be returning to my own place tomorrow night. Voting on Tuesday. Therapy and choir practice on Wednesday.
*huggles for everyone*

Happy Thanksgiving! I knew your Thanksgiving was coming up because my mother's boss (the owner of the company) is from Canada.

We have about a month left for ours.

Does it bother you at all that (american) Thanksgiving is so close to Christmas? It's really weird for me to see Autumn and Christmas decorations out at the same time.

It doesn't bother me. Does it bother you that Canadian Thanksgiving is so close to Halloween? I like that the three are evenly spaced, though it does bug me that they start selling Christmas stuff before Halloween. It seems to me that Christmas now-a-days just means gifts and what you can get from people. It's really sad.

I might start celebrating the sabbats and equinoxes, though they're not all that far off from our traditional holidays (since most of them are based somewhat on the sabbats).

Hmm, good point. Yeah, I highly dislike when they put out merchandise for one holiday before another which is sooner.

I like giving gifts to people. I guess it's because I don't feel I can adequately express my feelings with words and actions alone.
