I might get lynched for this. [Aug. 26th, 2007|10:11 pm]

So, the other day I watched Pirates of Silicon Valley. The way that Steve Jobs was portrayed in the movie reminded me of Jeff Skilling in that they were both genius nerds who let success go to their head. I could be wrong, since I have neither met nor seen either of them in person, but this is the opinion I get based on media exposure.

Steve Wozniak seems cool.

I had no idea that Microsoft owns part of Apple.

Sadly MS does. It bites ass, I loathe Microshaft.

My first boyfriend had his startup sound saying "Welcome to Microshaft Windblows 98".

Then, his friend thought it would be amusing to start a company called Macrohard.

Jobs is waaaaay more savvy than Skilling. Jobs thinks long term. Also, Jobs hasn't been indited.

Also, Woz is the coolest guy in technology.

Well, it was mostly the competitive streak I think. At one point (in the film) Jobs has a civil war breaking out inside of his company. And with a slogan like "Good artists create...great artists steal." It ads just enough scuzziness.
