I often wonder when you decided that you never thought you'd feel this way.|
Today was a long day.
I woke up around 8:30am, as has been happening lately, and took my morning meds. I got dressed because it was cold. I dug around in the freezer until I found some waffles for breakfast. I read for awhile before dosing off again for a little bit. I actually woke up before my alarm was set. I took this time to put lightener in my hair. This kind though, I don't like, it was watery and made my hair feel like it had glue in it. I think I also brushed my teeth.
When Leah got home, we departed for our annual trip across the border to Tops (Friendly Markets). On the way, we got the third degree about her new car and that shoppers usually make frequent visits. Leah had the awesome reply of, "I'm not that rich." :) So, we eventually find it, but Leah wants to eat first as not to overspend on the groceries. So we go to a buffet that we used to go to when we were kids. Either the food is worse or I just have a higher standard now. LOL. But the corn was good, and the cornbread, and the mini danish, and the chicken strips, and the soup. Next time I will have salad; I wish they had fruit other than melon. So we go back down the street to our expedition. Knowing us, we find all of the candy first. LOL. I think we bought more twizzlers than anything else. or maybe beverages. I bought 11 boxes of cereal. :) I also bought berries & cream dr pepper, some crystal light, some beverages called Life Water, chocolate pretzels, a bunch of snack stuff, kettle corn for Elaine, Lego Eggos for Ian, and Italian Ice desserts for Ed. and button candy.
As Leah said, getting back into Canada is easy, it's getting into the states that is hard.
So, we stopped back at her place to drop off her purchases and to pick up my stuff and her laundry. We got here and unloaded. Leah got to play DinerDash2 and I spent awhile typing up an email and trying to finish off a book. Oh yes, and the bird had a bath.
I ended up having alphaghetti and leftover sausage for dinner. Leah had soup and a sandwich and I packed her up with some food before she left. (It's the least I can do.)
After Leah went home, I spent the night talking on MSN and catching up on bpdinterruptinglives.
Now it is med time and I need to sleep. My throat still hurts. My stomach feels empty but I do not feel hungry.
