How is the "swine flu" different from regular influenza?

Thank you. I don't normally get teh flu shot anyway. Sounds like a big deal about nothing to me.

Since we're not inoculated against it, it could become a big deal. There's supposed to be a vaccine available soon, but until then we need to stop it becoming too large. The larger it gets, the easier it will be for it to mutate an immunity to the vaccine and become stronger.

Swine flu has only killed a thousand people so far this year. Regular flu has already killed ten times that many. :P
