[Current Mood |angryangry]

My computer is being very retarded. Tonight, it spontaneously shut down twice, and it wasn't just lose power-shut down, it was full blown "Please wait while Windows is shutting down" process. WTF? One suggestion was that it is over-heating and some bios sensor is shutting it down automatically? The only solution I have for this is to remove the battery to reduce heat (as has been suggested before) but my power cord falls out easily and the comp will shut off instantaneously if I lose power. :/ I might give it a shot anyway.
Blurgh. I am angry and depressed.

If it was over-heating, it would just shut down without warning. Processors have a sensor that shuts them down before they get to a specific temp. I had this issue with my buddy Jeff, and a faulty CPU fan, which caused it to over-heat. So that definately is not the issue.

Sounds like an operating system issue in my professional opinion. Your best bet for a cure-all, would be to reinstall or repair the operating system, using the install disc. However, I know you're a music snob like me and have tons of it organized. A fresh install of an OS would fix your issue, but delete all your files. Be careful.

Thank-yee.

Fortunately for me, most of my music files are on an external drive. I so win. :)
